Biscuity brioche on the nose, with delicate white flower and full fruit. Citrus, apple and ‘leesy’ characters add complexity to the palate. A fantastic home grown English fizz.
Buró Ribera del Duero, Spain 2014
A fabulous Ribera del Duero. Intense cherry red, with bright fruit and hints of spice, tobacco and toffee. Grippy tannins, but smooth and velvety on the palate. Outstanding value from the region.
Chorey les Beaune ‘Les Bons Ores’, France 2016
Francois Xavier Maratray-Dubrueil and his sister Marie-Madeleine run this family owned winery in Ladoix (between Beaune & Nuit St. Georges). The focus of their parcels is the legendary Corton Hill just north of Beaune. This beautiful pinot noir is drinking excellently right now and is punching well above it’s weight.
